The Warehouse Clerk will determine the logistics for movement of materials, chemicals, packages, supplies, and equipment to FWM facilities in an organized and efficient manner. They will processes the receipt of purchased goods, verifying counts and quality, complete transactions to receive product, process paperwork, and accurately complete all necessary transactions. This includes the processing of Raw Materials as well. In addition, they will organize and monitor all warehouse inventory and are responsible for loading and unloading of the items to be delivered and picked up at each stop, utilizing a forklift, pallet jack or by hand depending on size and weight of items. They are certified on forklift and WAVE stand up order picker and must be proficient in all aspects of the warehouse and serve as backup role depending on absences of team members where applicable. Finally, the Warehouse Clerk will work closely with Warehouse Supervisor on big picture planning and strategizing for future growth.
Education & Experience Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalency required.
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in material handling, shipping, and receiving.
Job Responsibilities

- Maintain and process accurate material and supply order requests from all FWM facilities while maintaining an accurate inventory.
- Safely unload trucks and determine organization and storage in the warehouse.
- Comply with all applicable OSHA regulations. Maintain all certifications required by OSHA and company safety programs.
- Manage and execute weekly cycle counts.
- Prepared to fill in as Mail Van driver as needed, communicate with a variety of personnel within facilities and your Warehouse Supervisor to determine priorities.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, warehouse dock space, and warehouse aisles.
- Responsible for filling orders and pulling supplies for buildings.
- Responsible for daily inventory checks including updating inventory sheet.
- Inspect freight upon arrival, document any signs of damage, and pass along any potential freight claims to logistics team in a timely manner.
- Processes receiving transactions and other warehouse processes to make sure work meets quality standards and is performed according to established procedures.
- Processes the receipt of purchased goods verifying counts and quality, complete transactions to receive product, process paperwork, and accurately complete all necessary transactions according to established procedures. Properly locate product to the appropriate areas within warehouse according to procedure.
- Accurately process material paperwork as well as accurate data entry into ERP.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, coworkers, and management.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work area.
- Operate lift trucks, pallet jacks, and other equipment to safely move parts within warehouse facility.
- Load and unload trucks as necessary and must be forklift certified.
- Maintain receiving files.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
Skills Needed
- Ability to perform basic computer functions.
- Possess intermediate math, reading, and writing skills.
- Must be able to work without close supervision and be capable of self-checking completed work.
- Must be able to adjust daily routine depending on the needs of the warehouse in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good hand dexterity, preferred.
- Understand and apply safe work practices.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
- Fast-paced production environment.
- Work hours consist of 40 hours per week.
- Overtime may sometimes be required.
- May work with and around hazardous chemicals.
- Appropriate PPE must be worn where posted and required.
- Exposure to fluctuating temperatures may occur.
- Average weights in production range from 10-25 lbs. Maximum weights may exceed 75-80 lbs. on occasion.
- May be required to perform work above shoulder height.
- Frequent bending, twisting, lifting and squatting.
- Sitting for periods of time while operating a motor vehicle.
- Frequent climbing in/out of truck and forklift.
- Loading and unloading cargo with the use of pallet jack/forklift and at times manually securing and rearranging loads.
