Your "day to day"
Program Execution & Support
- Execute site-level Health & Safety programs in alignment with PMI global standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support the implementation of H&S initiatives by collaborating with operations, engineering, and site leadership.
- Provide subject matter expertise to ensure consistent application of H&S policies and procedures across the site.
Systems & Compliance
- Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of Health & Safety management systems (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
- Ensure compliance with U.S. federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA) through regular audits and inspections.
- Assist in documenting, updating, and communicating H&S policies, procedures, and standards.
Risk Assessment & Incident Support
- Conduct risk assessments, safety inspections, and audits to identify hazards and support mitigation plans.
- Participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action tracking.
- Monitor and report on safety trends, identifying opportunities for improvement.
Training & Awareness
- Deliver H&S training programs to employees and contractors to ensure awareness and compliance.
- Support the development of training materials and programs tailored to site needs.
- Provide day-to-day guidance to employees on safe work practices and procedures.
Data, Reporting & Tools
- Maintain accurate H&S performance data and support the preparation of reports and KPIs for site leadership.
- Utilize H&S systems (e.g., Enablon, Intelex) to track incidents, audits, and compliance activities.
- Support data analysis efforts to identify trends and recommend improvements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with internal stakeholders (operations, engineering, HR) to support safe execution of site activities.
- Provide input into capital projects to ensure H&S considerations are appropriately addressed.
- Support contractor and vendor compliance with PMI safety standards.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify and recommend improvements to H&S processes, tools, and practices.
- Support site-level initiatives focused on reducing risk and improving safety performance.
- Bachelors degree in environmental engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in environmental health and safety roles within manufacturing or industrial settings.
- Demonstrated expertise in ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001 standards.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, lead cross-functional initiatives, and manage complex projects.
- Deep understanding of U.S. federal, state, and local regulatory frameworks (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, and exposure to EHS management platforms (e.g., Enablon, Intelex).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP) strongly preferred.
Annual Base Salary Range: $96,800 - $121,000

Employees are auto-enrolled in our company's 401(k)/Deferred Profit Sharing (DPS) Plan, which provides for both annual 5% employer matching contribution and an annual employer contribution.

The company also provides basic life insurance, accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, and short-term and long-term disability insurance to employees at no cost. Employees have the option to purchase supplemental life and AD&D coverage for themselves, spouse, and dependent children.
