Get to Know This Role

Responsible for a wide range of accounting activities including journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close, and audit preparation, with expanded ownership over key accounting areas and leadership of select close and reporting processes. This role serves as a lead accounting presence in Chico, operating with a high degree of autonomy while partnering closely with the Sr. Manager, Controller (remote). The Sr. Accountant will drive process improvements, strengthen documentation, and provide review and guidance to junior team members and cross-functional partners. This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting across ancillary business lines (restaurant, retail/gift shop, and self-distribution) with support towards the core manufacturing business. The role is expected to identify risks, improve processes, and elevate the overall quality and efficiency of the accounting function. Initially this role will operate within our current ERP landscape, and the manual processes in existence. This leads to the opportunity of playing an integral part in shaping, testing and implementation of the new ERP.
