Description
Essential Functions:Safety: achieve plant safety goals through:
- Leadership, enforcement and accountability of safety performance, policies and procedures at the floor level
- Training-ensure all associates are properly trained for their assigned positions
- Identifying areas of concern and coaching employees while also recognizing positive behaviors
- Providing daily feedback on positive/negative findings
- Accident investigation-drive accident investigation processes to determine root cause, corrective actions and accountability
- Participation as an Emergency Response Team member
Quality: achieve quality goals that meet or exceed customer requirements through:
- Leading enforcement and accountability of quality performance, policies and procedures
- Ensuring all associates are properly trained to perform work that meets quality requirements
- Assisting the quality team in development of new training materials/methods as needed
- Overseeing all programs for quality, providing coaching for line leads to ensure compliance to customer requirements, and engaging the quality department as needed
- Giving feedback on the Quality Escalation program and assisting in root cause analysis
- Documentation requirements per plant Quality Manual
- Assisting in plant audits and inspections
- Perform daily quality checks on production lines
Production: achieve plant production goals through:
- Continuous assessment of line efficiencies/elimination of waste
- Coordinating labor force to achieve plant goals
- Thorough knowledge of the production process and being able to read and understand information related to production orders
- Thorough knowledge of the production process and equipment operation
- Coordinating with scheduling to determine customer demands are met (rush orders, hot orders, etc.)
- Ensure all production lines are utilizing the large monitors to display line efficiencies.
- Overseeing line set ups and utilizing floor resources
- Coaching associate line leads on areas of opportunity (lean/waste)
- Opening the facility and starting up equipment when on 1st shift
- Communication: ensure effective communication exists throughout the plant by:
- Beginning of shift
- Reviewing previous shift's performance in Safety, Quality, and Productivity (SQP)
- Assessing all issues and plan (RCSA)
During Shift
- Continuous communication with associate line leads (SQP)
- Escalation of any issue as needed (SQP)
- Assisting with conflict resolution
- Providing answers and making decisions related to production with warehouse facility, customer service, and other internal personnel
- Driving accountability to lowest level (SQP)
- Menasha Line lead
- Associate Line leads
- Associate Staff
End of Shift
- Assessing progress: SQP, line, Accl, job set ups
- Starting up/shutting down communication
- Assist in implementation of plant SQPC process
- Participate in communication practices and tools that improve and promote open plant communication
- Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors
