Substance Use Counselor – CASAC/CASAC-T
Schedule: Full-Time | In-Person
The Second Wind Behavioral Health Services is seeking a compassionate and motivated CASAC or CASAC-T Counselor to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity for both experienced counselors and newer clinicians looking to develop their skills in a supportive, multidisciplinary behavioral health setting.
We are willing to train the right candidate and welcome both experienced professionals and new clinician graduates who are passionate about helping individuals struggling with substance use and behavioral health challenges.
Job Summary:
As a Substance Use Counselor, you will provide a range of treatment and support services as part of a collaborative clinical team. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting clinical assessments and evaluations
- Developing, reviewing, and updating treatment goals and treatment plans in collaboration with clients and their families, as appropriate
- Providing individual and group counseling services within the scope of credentialing and supervision
- Delivering case management services and care coordination
- Supporting clients in accessing appropriate resources and services
- Documenting services in a timely, accurate, and compliant manner
- Working collaboratively with members of the clinical and interdisciplinary team
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Current CASAC or CASAC-T credential in good standing
- Clinical experience in a substance use, behavioral health, or related setting preferred
- Strong case management, coordination, and advocacy skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Experience with Electronic Health Records/Electronic Clinical Records preferred
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary team
