The Associate Business Analyst will be responsible for working on and completing Service Desk support tickets. They will provide information to management and team members regarding high priority issues or important information that impacts the day-to-day business. Provide excellent customer service to the end users.
Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field or equivalent demonstrated skills and abilities required.
- 1-3 years' experience highly preferred in various business aspects such as sales, accounting, manufacturing, inspection, finance, supply chain, or project management.
- Preferred understanding of and experience working with, and/or supporting, ERP systems and IT solutions.
Job Responsibilities
- Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders to provide excellent customer service.
- Collaborate with appropriate Business Analyst II's and/or Business Analysts, as needed, to develop an understanding of current systems and processes and analyze impact of changes as new solutions are introduced.
- Assist with collaboration between various internal stakeholder(s) and IT to execute all stages of a ticket, or tasks, from request and potential root cause analysis to discovery and/or completion of the problem.
- Monitor, track, and respond to requests from stakeholders through a variety of means such as: emails, phone calls, walk ups, meetings, and Service desk tickets.
- Keep stakeholder(s) informed of progress, changes, risks, and problems throughout the duration of the process.
- Be the liaison between stakeholders and IT by interpreting and translating business needs into technical requirements, when necessary to replicate a system issue.
- Perform initial testing to ensure agreed upon solution(s) are met before handoff to stakeholder for testing.
- Anticipate and inform impact of possible changes on the business/system upstream and downstream.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
Skills Needed
- Ability to establish and maintain effective customer relationships, gain true insight into the customer's needs, identify opportunities that will best benefit the customer, and build and deliver solutions that meet and/or exceed the customers' expectations.
- Must be a critical thinker / problem solver with the ability to understand complex business processes, consider all relevant factors, and use appropriate decision-making criteria and principles to be able to come to a solution, and once solution is determined, able to determine scope of project.
- Ability to make sound decisions, even in the absence of complete information, and can articulate, and if necessary, defend, the reason for decision.
- Ability to take on new and challenging opportunities with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm, be a self-starter, and have excellent organizational skills with ability to meet commitments and deadlines.
- Ability to locate inefficient processes and potential root cause, looking for ways to improve the process, from small tweaks to complete reengineering.
- Ability to negotiate with stakeholders and create alignment and ownership around a solution, work cooperatively across business lines to achieve shared objectives, and partner with others to get work done.
- Must possess excelled organizational skills and be able to effectively communicate, both written and verbal, within all levels of an organization, internal and external.
- Must possess a customer first attitude.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
- Fast-paced office environment.
- Travel between facilities required.
- Occasional International travel may be necessary.
- Must be able to access all areas of operation.
- Sitting and working at a computer for extended periods of time.
