Company Overview
Therapy Matters has a 25-year history of providing private speech pathology services to families on the Gold Coast and Northern NSW. We are dedicated to clinical excellence and a positive workplace culture. We strive to make a difference in the lives of our clients and in our team by supporting everyone to live happy, fulfilled, communicative and connected lives. Our 15 speech pathologists have over 150 years of collective experience and have been with our organisation from 3 months to 13 years. Our therapists provide services at our West Burleigh clinic and our new Murwillumbah clinic as well as full and half day services to over 10 schools. Therapy Matters is a registered provider with the NDIS, Helping Children with Autism and Better Start initiatives for children with disabilities. Therapy Matters together with Kids and Community Occupational Therapy and Dr Karen Plant Psychology are founding members of Therapy Connect Alliance which provides allied health team-based services to children with disabilities.
OUR DIRECTOR
Tania Teitzel is a compassionate, dedicated and collaborative leader keen to inspire the next future speech pathology clinical leaders. For 25 years she has been at the helm of Therapy Matters with her highest priority to build a humble, collaborative and supportive team of therapists absolutely dedicated to the pursuit of clinical excellence that makes a difference in the lives of our clients and our community both locally, nationally and internationally not only through our direct speech pathology efforts but also through corporate philanthropy. Tania invests time in the business through engaging a Business Coach and being part of a Boardroom Alliance Program with 7 other allied health clinic owners around the country. Tania invests time and care in her team and genuinely cares for their welfare and the attainment of their personal and professional goals.
OUR TEAM
Our workplace culture is one of sharing and caring. We love the buzz of being around a team that is humble in their knowledge, happy to share where they can and comfortable to reach out and ask for help when they need it. We build lots of opportunities into our week to get our team time to connect, build relationships and have some fun! Our team is dedicated to learning by doing, watching and collaborating and at their absolute heart is a dedication to clinical excellence and making a difference in the lives of clients. Our team includes new graduate clinicians, early career generalists, clinical leader experienced clinicians with generalist and specific caseloads (e.g. disability, AAC and feeding) as well as senior speech pathologists.
OUR CLIENTS
Therapy Matters is predominantly a paediatric private practice with a small caseload of adults with disabilities and complex communication needs. Our caseload covers a broad generalist caseload of speech, language, fluency and social communication disorders as well as literacy difficulties and feeding difficulties. We are proud to have dedicated our clinic through its history to the support of children with disabilities.
