At Resource One Credit Union, we help hard-working Texans achieve their financial goals. We are a Credit Union, owned by our members and working to give them control of their future.

Since 1936, our members have trusted us to provide honest advice and the products they need. And our earnings? They belong to our members. We share the profits with our members in the form of better rates and lower fees. Our membership continues to grow from the two largest counties in Texas: Dallas and Northwest Harris.

People helping people is what credit unions were founded on, and it’s what we live and breathe at Resource One. We like to help people in every way…from a member’s first loan to the energy and enthusiasm we bring to each and every member we serve. We’re not your average financial institution and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Company History

On July 15, 1936 a small group of employees from Catalog Order Plant of Sears, Roebuck, and Company came together to organize a credit union. Originally founded as the Sears Dallas Employees Federal Credit Union, this tight-knit group of employees had a vision of providing a safe place to save and get loans at fair rates.

From this modest start, Resource One Credit Union increasingly expanded products, services and digital capabilities while still maintaining a low-cost business model. Through the decades, we continued to grow through innovation and responsive member care and service.

Our success is due, in part, to our strong focus on member benefits. Potential offerings are evaluated by our Board of Directors based on overall benefit to the membership and impact to earnings. New products and services must meet strict criteria of quality, competitive pricing, and the ability to enhance credit union earnings and “giveback” to members.

Resource One Credit Union serves over 60,000 members throughout Dallas and Northwest Harris Counties with more than $500 million in assets. We offer better-than-bank rates, allowing our members to save more and earn more. As a credit union, our focus is to provide members with a new choice in banking by focusing on their needs and future success. Resource One provides members with top-notch online banking, an award-winning mobile banking app, and free personal financial management, budgeting and debt management tools.
