Company History

Our Story

Avian & Exotic Philly Vet was founded in 2022 to fill a vital niche between general practice and tertiary emergency hospitals. As the only exotic-exclusive veterinary clinic in the Philadelphia region, we provide advanced, compassionate care for all exotic species—from aquatics to big cats—while also supporting local wildlife centers and rescue organizations.

Built on the belief that excellent medicine thrives in a healthy culture, we’ve created a collaborative, inclusive, and non-toxic environment where every team member is valued and supported. Our open-concept facility fosters transparency, communication, and mutual respect—qualities that extend to our relationships with clients, patients, and each other.

We pride ourselves on being problem-solvers who deliver specialty-level care with intention and precision, never quick fixes. Our evenly split caseload of avian (30%), herptile (30%), and small mammal (30%) patients reflects the breadth of our expertise. Backed by a talented and dedicated nursing and support team, our clinicians are empowered to practice true gold-standard medicine.

Our leadership team brings over 20 years of experience in exotic animal care and is deeply embedded in the exotics community through continuing education, hands-on lab instruction, and professional mentorship. At Avian & Exotic Philly Vet, we are more than a clinic—we’re a supportive, dynamic hub for those passionate about advancing exotic animal medicine in a healthy, respectful workplace.
