We are seeking a highly skilled Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Architect to lead architecture initiatives, develop cutting-edge integration strategies, and ensure seamless interoperability across critical healthcare systems.
Position Description: The Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Architect leads architecture initiatives and designs, develops, and implements solutions through analyzing business needs and resolving routine issues.
Tasks/activities include, but are not limited to:
- Designs, develops, and implements solutions for software integration projects
- Leads architecture initiatives, including the design of EDI/interface solutions, ETL processes, and data warehouse architectures
- Analyzes business needs and resolves routine issues
- Presents to senior-level clients on interoperability solutions, architecture, and technical recommendations
- Builds data pipelines
- Supports microservices and automation
- Coordinates applications across functions and between organizations
- Ensures the integration of projects meets the requirements of the organization
- Applies advanced consulting skills, extensive technical expertise, and full industry knowledge
- Develops innovative solutions to complex problems
- Works without considerable direction and mentors and supervises team members
Compensation & Benefits: The annual projected pay range for this position is $96,362.00 - $111,682.00 with consideration being given to various factors including but not limited to qualifications, experience, job responsibilities, and geographic location.

Requirements
Minimum/General Experience: 5 years of experience programming and working with X12 EDI transaction sets
Minimum Education: Bachelors degree in computer science or related field; CMMI'sDataManagementMaturity(DMM) Certification(preferred)
Essential Skills/Qualifications:
- Excellent experience programming X12 EDI transaction sets including 837P, 837I, 837D, 835, 834, 999, 277CA, 270/271, 276/277, and SNIP validation rules
- Above average experience with EDI toolsets (e.g., EDIFECs, MuleSoft, Biztalk, Axway, WebMethods)
- Above average experience in Python, Java, and/or Scala for building data pipelines, microservices, and automation
- Above average experience in extract-transform-load (ETL) processes and tools (e.g., Apache, Talend, Informatica, SSIS)
- Above average experience in data integration strategies and best practices
- Above average understanding of microservices architecture patterns (e.g., REST APIs, containerization, service discovery, orchestration frameworks)
- Above average knowledge of systems analysis, design, development, quality assurance and integration methodologies to develop quality technical solutions
- Experience working with cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Working knowledge of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
- Experience with participating in component and data architecture design, performance monitoring, data exchange hubs, and transport mechanisms
- Experience with data storage and processing tools (e.g., AWS Lambda, Azure Data Factory)
- Experience with microservices (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker)
- Knowledge of orchestrating complex data workflows and monitoring their performance using tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, AWS Step Functions, Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric)
- Understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases for efficient data handling
- Experience with relational healthcare claims related data and auto-adjudication claims process with an understanding of Explanation of Benefits (EOB)
- Experience incorporating security into systems to protect Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and Protected Health Information (PHI)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for microservices deployment (preferred)
