Veterinary TechnicianGenoa Animal Hospital
Genoa, Illinois
Genoa Animal Hospital is actively looking for an Experienced Veterinary Technician to join our great team. The ideal candidate must be confident in rooming patients, assisting in surgery, surgical recovery, placing IV catheters, drawing blood and running bloodwork, have experience with in-clinic laboratory, have knowledge of x-ray and positioning, understand the importance of client education, have experience with proper animal handling and restraint, able to dispense and administer medications prescribed by the veterinarian, and is a positive and supportive team member. The veterinary industry is constantly advancing and Genoa Animal Hospital encourages and supports its staff to do the same. Requirements
- 1+ years of experience working as a Veterinary Technician
- Knowledge of standard industry tools and equipment
- Understanding of animal behavior and healthcare
- Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
- Passion for working with animals and their owners
- Ability to multi-task efficiently
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Positive and supportive team player
