LaVale Veterinary Hospital is an established, AAHA-accredited hybrid GP/ER practice located in beautiful LaVale, Maryland. For over 35 years, we’ve proudly served our community with a strong reputation for high-quality care and a commitment to mentorship and collaboration. Our 15,000+ square foot facility is fully equipped with Idexx in-house labs, digital and dental radiography, and ultrasound. We routinely perform advanced procedures, including soft tissue surgery, fracture repair, CCL repair, and GDV surgeries due to lack of proximity to referral and ER clinics. We are the only hospital in the area with 24-hour staffing and have a total team of 40, including six credentialed RVTs and a total of eight DVMs. Our doctors cover emergency shifts one night per week and rotate weekends, with calls triaged by our experienced overnight team. We are proud of our excellent DVM-to-staff ratio and highly collaborative culture. Our veterinarians range from 1 to 31 years of experience, and all have remained with the practice since graduation. New graduates will thrive with our strong mentorship program, and we regularly host RVT and veterinary students for clinical rotations.
