- Veterinarian for Independently Owned Vibrant Neighborhood Clinic
Description
Boulevard Veterinary, an AAHA-accredited, independently and veterinarian-owned group of practices in Chicago, is searching for a veterinarian with top-notch clinical skills and a collaborative spirit to join our incredibly talented team! Our four small animal clinics are rooted in some of Chicago’s most vibrant neighborhoods—Logan Square, River North, Ravenswood, and Lakeview-Lincoln Park. We also have a new addition to our clinics: BLVD Cat, a felines only clinic that is located right next to our Ravenswood practice! Each location is tailored to its community, and we embrace that famous Midwest hospitality. We are currently hiring for a full time associate DVM for a single office and a floating associate DVM who is willing to work at multiple offices.
Once hired, veterinarians are paired with a senior BLVD veterinarian for a structured training and mentorship period regardless of experience level as part of our commitment to our core value of Learning and Collaboration. The training period will vary from 3 weeks for a highly experienced veterinarian to six months for a new DVM graduate. We don’t believe in a sink or swim culture. Veterinary medicine should never be like fast food service. There’s no “one size fits all” approach to patient care or our team members’ success and as an independent organization, we answer to our patients and each other. We are focused on setting and promoting attainable goals for our team that serve our main priority of best patient and client care.
All veterinarians at BLVD are supported by a robust and highly skilled team of veterinary technicians and assistants that are assigned to them each day. Each office also has an exceptionally skilled medical director and/or senior DVM that works shoulder to shoulder with all clinical staff to offer real time insight and guidance on all BLVD policies and procedures when needed. Our veterinarians focus on diagnosing, treatment plans, and communicating thoroughly with clients. Our first and most important core value is Best Patient and Client Care, and it's a full team effort here at BLVD.
At BLVD, we help to balance our challenging work with fun activities outside our 4 walls! BLVD sponsors quarterly team outings including bowling, CUBS games, paint parties, and happy hours. While we work hard on the job, we place a strong emphasis on work life balance, so when you're off work, you're truly off work. There are no on-call shifts, and weekends are rotated and shared across the whole team.
We make building a vibrant professional environment a priority every day, so it is essential that the right candidate shares values that contribute to those goals. If this sounds like you, we'd just love to meet you!! Please feel free to find out more about us at blvd.vet.
