Urogynecologist
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Urogynecologist to join our growing team. This specialist will provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment for female patients with pelvic floor disorders, including urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and other related conditions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate clinical excellence, strong surgical skills, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate, diagnose, and manage disorders of the pelvic floor, including urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, fecal incontinence, and other urogynecology conditions.
Perform office-based procedures and surgical interventions, including minimally invasive techniques (laparoscopic and/or robotic-assisted surgery).
Collaborate with primary care, gynecology, urology, colorectal surgery, and physical therapy teams to ensure integrated patient care.
Educate patients on treatment options, post-operative care, and preventive strategies.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical documentation, and compliance protocols.
Provide on-call coverage in rotation with department colleagues.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record system.
Requirements
Qualifications
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
Completion of an accredited residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Fellowship training in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (Urogynecology) required.
Board certified or board eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Urogynecology.
Active or eligible for medical licensure in Virginia.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a commitment to compassionate patient care.
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in minimally invasive surgical techniques, including robotic-assisted procedures.
Interest in clinical research or resident/medical student education.
Experience working in a multidisciplinary team environment.
