Are you passionate about transforming complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly content? At Elekta, we're looking for a skilled Technical Writer who thrives in a fast-paced Agile environment and enjoys collaborating across global teams—especially with our brilliant engineers.
In this role, you'll be at the heart of innovation, creating high-quality documentation that supports both our customers and internal teams. You'll manage your own projects, contribute to impactful programs, and represent our department with professionalism and enthusiasm across product and scrum teams.

What you'll do:
Create and publish content using DITA XML, including help topics, release notes, and configuration guides.
Develop installation and upgrade procedures (SIPs, UPGs) for software products.
Collaborate with product teams to ensure content accuracy and clarity.
Own documentation for your product area—identify needs, track improvements, and deliver on time.
Communicate progress, challenges, and updates to your team lead regularly.
Flag and escalate risks as needed to project and functional stakeholders.
Manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet release timelines.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Information Development team.
Support additional departmental needs as required.
What you bring
A BA/BS degree or certification in Technical Writing (preferred but not required).
Familiarity with software development concepts, pipelines, and backend systems.
Hands-on experience with DITA-based documentation tools.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Around 5 years of experience creating, editing, and managing technical documentation.
Experience working within a Content Management System (CMS).
Understanding of Agile workflows; experience in Scrum environments is a plus.
Exposure to tools like JIRA and source control systems.
Interest or experience in integrating AI tools into documentation workflows.
Experience in regulated industries such as medical devices is beneficial.

The base salary range for this position is $91,000 - $98,000.
