Description
Duties
- Effectively lead, coach, and develop production team members through regular performance feedback.
- Select, develop/maintain position specific training programs
- Promote a safe, collaborative and motivated production environment.
- Review and approve weekly time records for assigned employees including managing attendance issues and disciplinary actions in alignment with company policies.
- Promote a safe work environment by conducting safety audits and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Collaborate with outside vendors and, schedule on-site services to resolve quality related issues and implement corrective actions.
- Drive process improvements and cost reduction initiatives using lean and Kaizen methodologies.
- Monitor production metrics and use data to guide team objectives and performance.
- Work with key partners to collaborate, plan and implement process improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
- Evaluate, disposition, and process rejects according to established policy and practices.
- Monitor supplier product quality, inventory levels and initiate replenishment order for consumables supplies.
- Define, measure and report on production metrics and utilize information to formulate objectives for staff.
- Observe production schedule and identify and resolve barriers to resolve day to day production issues to ensure customer deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Ensure timely delivery by identifying and resolving production bottlenecks.
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, updates, status on relevant items and ensure company policies are being followed.
- Maintain shortage list related to production and follow up on missing components.
- Partner with Manufacturing Engineers to address quality concerns and implement solutions.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 of years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, with strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
- 3 - 5 years of direct supervisory experience, including coaching and performance management.
- Proven track record of problem-solving skills, cost management, and ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
- Responsible for selection, performance management, and disciplinary activities for all direct reports.
- Excellent communication skills - verbal, written, and interpersonal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles; Kaizen experience is a plus.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Pay Transparency
Anticipated wage range: $30/hour - $40/hour depending on amount of relevant previous experience.
