Job Description 

Duties:

-  Lead and develop the survey department

-  Communicate with stakeholders

-  Maintain survey projects on track and on budget

-  Utilize CAD software to input, manage, and analyze geospatial data

-  Build and maintain survey control networks

-  Assist in the preparation of legal descriptions and land records

-  Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other professionals to ensure accurate survey results

-  Boundary analysis

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications

-  Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or related field

-  Proficiency in using surveying equipment, including robotics and GPS systems

-  Strong knowledge of land surveying principles, practices, and techniques

-  Experience with CAD software, such as Bentley MicroStation, Open Roads Designer, Carlson Survey, and/or Civil 3D.

-  Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

-  Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

-  Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data collection and analysis -Must have a valid Professional Land Surveyor's license in Illinois
