Strategy Deployment Engineer
Position Summary
The Strategy Deployment Engineer works as part of a highly-technical team tasked with learning new F5 products and services as they are being developed. The team produces release readiness content consisting of technical demos, technical briefs, troubleshooting guides and use case documents. The role contributes to creating this content by implementing and using pre-release F5 products and features.
We are looking for someone who enjoys learning new technologies and products and can work with alpha and beta quality software to provide valuable input into the product development process.
To succeed in this position a candidate should be: organized, curious, a problem solver, a great teammate, and passionate about learning and sharing knowledge.
This position works with modern applications and modern workflows and requires an intermediate level knowledge of containers, programming languages and source control (git). Experience with one of the major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure), orchestration, and Kubernetes is required.
Primary Responsibilities
- Implement, configure and review pre-release products to provide feedback to Product Engineering and Product Management.
- Provide technical subject matter expertise as a member of an agile team.
- Work as part of an agile team to deliver release readiness content for customers.
- Present work in progress deliverables at system demos.
- Review release readiness material produced by the agile team.
- Participate in projects of moderate complexity with minimal need for supervision or assistance.
- Continue education on new technologies related to F5 products and services.
- Participate in agile rituals and activities.
Qualifications
- Candidates should have a minimum of 8 years relevant work experience in enterprise level environments.
- Able to demonstrate an advanced understanding of system engineering and knowledge of enterprise architectures.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Undergraduate Computer Science degree or equivalent work experience.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Duties are performed in a normal office environment while sitting at a desk or computer table. Duties require the ability to use a computer, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material.
- Duties may require being on call periodically and working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends).
