- Steel Erector/ Ironworker
Description
We are seeking skilled Steel Erectors to join our construction team. The role involves assembling, installing, and securing structural steel components for buildings and other structures. Ideal candidates should have experience in steel erection, working at heights, reading blueprints, and ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards.
Requirements
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience in steel erection, ironwork, or structural construction.
Proven ability to assemble and install steel frameworks safely and accurately.
Technical Skills:
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, rigging equipment, and lifting machinery (cranes, hoists, etc.).
Knowledge of bolting, welding, and fastening techniques for steel connections.
Certifications (preferred but not always required):
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 construction safety certification.
Welding certification (SMAW, MIG, or TIG) a plus.
Rigging and signaling certifications highly valued.
Fall protection training.
Physical & Safety Requirements:
Comfortable working at heights and in outdoor environments.
Good physical stamina – ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy steel materials.
Strong focus on safety protocols and compliance with all site regulations.
Other Requirements:
Must have reliable transportation.
Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or travel as project needs demand.
Ability to work in a team environment with welders, riggers, and supervisors.
