As a Stationary Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) mechanical systems
- Calibrating and repairing automated building systems
- Responding to service requests and/or emergency calls from tenants or FMD staff
- Performing inspections of all building systems and equipment
- Ensuring the safety of others by attending to unsafe conditions reported within the building or surrounding grounds
- Maintaining records on equipment and making recommendations for equipment maintenance and special repairs
- Maintaining Raypak boilers and water heaters
Requirements
We are seeking Stationary Engineers who have:
- Four years of experience performing duties which included the operation, maintenance and repair of boiler, heating, refrigeration, ventilation, and power equipment of large commercial, industrial, or institutional buildings including the operation and maintenance of air conditioning systems involving the use of automatic controls
- Completed 700 hours of formalized technical instruction related to Stationary Engineering
- May be required to obtain EPA 608 and/or backflow certification upon appointment.
