THE ROLE
The Sr. Accountant F&B primary job responsibilities are to ensure all financial operational tasks are completed accurately, including daily and monthly reporting and reconciliations, journal entries, customer billings and receivables, and processing of accounts payable. Must have the ability to work during events as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists the Finance Director in the creation of monthly reporting packages, corporate reports, F&B forecasting, budgeting, and various ad hoc analyses
Works with external auditors in verifying financial information/procedures and preparation of audit materials
Review and audit F&B inventory for valuation accuracy.
Reconciles and Processes volunteer group commissions and 3rd party payments
Manages accounts payable and vendor relations
Prepares customer billings and posts F&B sales
Posts journal entries as required and maintains clean supporting backup
Maintains general and subsidiary ledgers
Prepares and processes event merchandise settlements
Ensures proper segregation of duties exist throughout the department
Cultivates a strong control environment and maintains the Facility’s financial policies and procedures
Maintains tax filings and liquor license renewals
Other duties may be assigned
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum 2 years’ work experience in public accounting and/or finance
Food & Beverage financial experience preferred
Prior supervisory experience preferred
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of accounting software
And Microsoft Office products such as Excel and Word. Experience with Oracle POS, Clover POS, and
Safe 50 desirable.
