Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Simulation Educator located on St. Croix, USVI. The Simulation Educator will be responsible for developing and executing lesson plans, providing educational instruction, and facilitating training sessions. Day-to-day tasks will include teaching and communicating with students and colleagues to deliver high-quality simulation-based education. Works collaboratively with UVI MSC leadership, faculty, clients, and staff to ensure evidence-based clinical standards and simulation best practices are reflected in all simulation-based educational curriculum and activities. Develops and implements simulation-based education to enhance patient safety and quality in healthcare. Reports to the Medical Simulation Center Executive Director.
Requirements
-Experience in lesson planning and education
-Healthcare Simulation Educator certification (CHSE) from the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH)
-Ability to work effectively in an on-site role in St. Croix, USVI
-3-5 years of experience in conducting medical and healthcare-related training sessions
-Must be located in or relocate to St Croix, US Virgin Islands
-Excellent communication and teaching skills
-Certification as an AHA instructor
-Strong organizational and time-management skills
-Master’s degree in Education, Nursing, or a related field
-3-5 years of experience with simulation-based education
