Senior Projects Manager - Design (Roads/Infra)

Abu Dhabi, UAE

Parsons is seeking a proactive Senior Projects Manager to manage the design delivery of Roads, Infrastructure, Landscaping and masterplan projects in Abu Dhabi. In this role, you'll get to manage and administer design reviews and management of projects as part of the Project Management Consultancy.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Lead the design team in the development of in all aspects of infrastructure design services. Lead the PMC design review and management team and Design Consultants as part of the PMC portfolio.
• Manage the design process from concept to completion up to Tender stage. Overview the design process done by the Design Consultants even post contract to ensure the compliance with all Authorities' requirements and standards.
• Get support from the Technical Excellence team on design standards and guidelines. Provide guidance, technical feedback and support to the Client and PMC design review and management team.
• Create and manage design briefs and timelines. Monitor and control the design briefs and timelines.
• Monitor and evaluate design trends and technologies.
• Ensure design projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Present design to stakeholders. Review the design with the Employer and PMC design review and management team.
• Manage the PMC design review and management team resources and assets.
• Develop and implement design strategies.
• Analyze customer feedback and adjust direct Design Consultants to adjust the designs accordingly
• Collaborate and communication with the project teams and stakeholders throughout the design process.
• Manage and monitor change management and risk management.
• Develop Propose project design delivery program and resources plan.
• Exercise internal design coordination and secure overview quality management and control
• Review of developed design reports, specs, drawings, and final documents for clients
• Interface management among all discipline involved in Design delivery.
• Overview the development of the master plans, identify risks and propose mitigation measures.
• Weekly and monthly reporting to PD and clients
• Support on Project Bidding and resources development

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Degree in Civil engineering from an accredited University
• ideally 20 years design management experience in Roads and infrastructure projects, 15 years minimum
• Design review and management of infrastructure, masterplan, roads, bridges projects within a Consulting environment.
• Extensive experience in Design Management and Project Management of Master plans and mix-use development in MENA region
• Excellent communication skills, including report writing and presentation skills.
• Microsoft Office proficiency with Word, Excel, Power Point, Microsoft project
• Knowledge is Primavera and Autodesk Civil 3D, Esri GIS , Bentley software's
• Organized and self-motivated.
• Prior experience leading projects in Abu Dhabi is required
• Prior experience in leading multi discipline teams and facing clients.
• Knowledge in BIM for roads and infrastructure.
