Our INFRA practice is comprised of over 800 sector experts and specialized consultants across the Globe. We combine strategic and operational expertise with a deep technical knowledge to support developers, sponsors, lenders, and projects leaders to select, structure, improve and execute capital projects in a more efficient and sustainable way. Within INFRA, our Capital Strategy & Transaction Advisory team focuses on early project planning and deal due diligence, bringing together technical, market and commercial insight to drive transaction value and execution certainty.
To support our expansion, we are seeking a Senior Director to join our Capital Strategy & Transaction Advisory team. This role is ideal for a senior professional with deep sector expertise and a proven track record in business development, client management, and practice leadership. The Senior Director will oversee a portfolio of client engagements, drive growth initiatives, and partner with the Managing Director on team strategy, hiring, and financial performance.

The Senior Director will operate as a key extension of the Managing Director, playing a critical role in driving business development efforts, overseeing client engagements, and shaping the next phase of growth for the practice. The ideal candidate combines consulting skills, sector expertise, and ambition for personal and professional growth. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee a portfolio of client engagements across renewables, power, oil & gas, and/or energy infrastructure, ensuring exceptional deliverables and client experience at scale.
- Drive business development by cultivating senior-level client relationships, identifying and pursuing new opportunities, and supporting proposal and pitch development.
- Serve as a strategic partner to the Managing Director, contributing to practice establishment and strategy, operations and growth initiatives.
- Contribute to the Infrastructure practice's financial and operational goals, with an eye toward long-term growth and sustainability.
- Develop sector insights and contribute to thought leadership that reinforces A&M's market leadership.
- Manage, mentor, and develop junior team members, building a high-performing, collaborative team culture.
- Actively build your internal and external network to support the expansion of A&M's brand and client base.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, or related field required; advanced degree (MBA, MS, or equivalent) preferred.
- 15+ years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years' tenure in a top-tier management consulting firm or a leading infrastructure advisory environment.
- Required experience in the energy sector, including power, renewables, and/or oil & gas (O&G).
- Proven ability to originate business, grow client accounts, and deliver revenue growth.
- Strong understanding of the infrastructure deal environment, including project finance, transaction dynamics, typical stakeholders, and the integration of technical due diligence into commercial and valuation considerations.
- Exceptional management and leadership skills; ability to oversee cross-functional teams and complex deliverables.
- Entrepreneurial spirit with the drive to build and scale a business.
- Executive presence and strong communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Availability for travel.
- Professional certifications such as CFA, AMP, or PMP are considered a plus.

Full-time Positions and Part-time Positions Over 30 hours
Regular employees working 30 or more hours per week are also entitled to participate in Alvarez & Marsal Holdings' fringe benefits consisting of healthcare plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life, AD&D, and disability coverages at rates determined periodically as well as a 401(k) retirement savings plan. Provided the eligibility requirements are met, employees will also receive an annual discretionary contribution to their 401(k) retirement savings plan from Alvarez & Marsal. Additionally, employees are eligible for paid time off including vacation, personal days, seventy-two (72) hours of sick time (prorated for part time employees), ten federal holidays, one floating holiday, and parental leave. The salary range is $215,000 - $235,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance. Please ask your recruiter for details.
