Description
Job DescriptionThe Office of Admission seeks a temporary Admission Counselor through December 19, 2025 to assist in the recruitment of new students
• Attend in-person and virtual college fairs and high school visits/conduct classroom presentations
• Answer admission related questions to prospective students at high school and college fairs
• Responsible for the effective use of Salesforce
• Assist with on-campus and off-campus events for prospective students and their families
• Other related duties as assigned by the Director of Admission
Requirements
Required:
• Strong presentation and interpersonal communication skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Understanding of MCPHS return on investment
• Strong work ethic with the ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays is required
• Ability to thrive in a customer service role
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• A valid driver's license
Preferred:
• Knowledge of Salesforce or some other CRM
• Prior experience in higher education, in Admission, as a volunteer or paid position
Physical Requirements:
• Standing, sitting, manual dexterity, ability to move between offices and buildings
• Must have the ability to lift up to 20 lbs
• Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
• Must be able to meet deadlines and perform well under pressure
• Must be able to be physically in attendance at designated worksite during scheduled work hours and to work some evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Must be able to travel 100% locally and nationally with some weekends required.
• Normal range of vision and hearing (with or without correction)
