Description: This is a 8-hour shift 5 days each week, with the shift schedule being from 08:00-17:00 total of 40 hours per week. RN Risk Manager with Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, along with 2 professional references. The all-inclusive hourly pay rate for this position is $55.69/hr, encompassing a taxable component of $32.61/hr, along with a per diem of $23.08/hr.

Rate: $55.69 / hour

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Active unencumbered Registered Nurse Idaho state license
• Graduate from a fully accredited Registered Nurse program
• One year of work experience as RN Risk Manager
• One year of EMR experience
• Board Certified

Responsibilities:

• Coordinating our risk management program to meet our institution's needs.
• Reviewing and analyzing occurrence reports related to risk management, quality of care, regulatory issues, and insurance concerns.
• Conducting investigations of incidents that need to be reported to the authorities.
• Performing Root Cause Analysis investigations and working with departments and clinical chairpersons for peer reviews.
• Maintaining our risk management information system database.
• Preparing incident summary reports and providing all necessary documentation for investigations and resolutions.
• Facilitating the peer review process and ensuring safety solutions are implemented.
• Identifying organizational risks through trend analysis.
• Collaborating with on-site investigators and participating in risk management assessments.
• Acting as a resource person and presenting risk management issues for discussion and evaluation.
• Keeping up to date with regulatory requirements related to risk management.
• Responding to inquiries regarding reports and professional liability matters.
• Being available on-call to field inquiries from our staff outside of normal business hours.
• Participating in committees focused on promoting quality of care.
• Assisting in the development of educational programs to raise staff awareness of risk exposure and professional liability.
