Description
Do you have a nursing background in Cath Lab and/or IR nursing?We are looking for a PRN NPD Generalist who is ready to take on approximately 30 hours per week, and ability to be creative with scheduling.
This position will be located in or College Station facility.

Job Summary
A Nursing Professional Development Generalist uses tools and knowledge to improve learners' understanding of healthcare. They work with staff to implement programs for professional development and continuous learning. The focus is promoting practices that improve patient outcomes organization-wide. This role also advances professional development in line with the system's standards. It fosters growth, learning, and practical knowledge in healthcare.
Essential Functions of the Role
- You'll assess target audience needs, considering current issues and trends.
- Validate these needs with stakeholders. Use data to create personalized content for education planning.
- You will use evidence, theories, research, and experience to create education programs.
- You'll ensure integrity in activities and offer guidance on ethical conflicts. Respecting autonomy, dignity, and rights of participants is crucial. Report any violations promptly.
- You will support scientific inquiry and use evidence in practice. Facilitate research, ensure quality improvement, and promote findings through educational programs.
Key Success Factors
- Familiarity with the benchmarks and operations of nursing and patient care.
- Knowledge of nursing laws, standards, regulations, and certification bodies is essential. Understanding hospital policies and procedures is required.
- Knowledge of medical terms, health practices, and medication effects is essential for understanding disease management and prevention.
- Excellent communication skills, including writing and speaking.
- Highly effective social skills to engage with diverse groups.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- At least (2) two years of relevant experience.
- You should be a registered nurse (RN)
- You need Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain within (30) thirty days.
