The hourly pay rate for this position is $25.00 - $30.00 per hour and is based on experience, certifications, licensure, education, and location.

Aborn Pet Hospital is actively looking for an RVT to join our amazing team! Who We're Looking For

We are currently looking to hire a Registered Veterinary Technicianto join our team! The ideal candidate will be a dependable, detail-oriented team player who loves pets and being part of a fun, supportive team. They will have experience rooming patients, surgical assisting experience, and knowledge of equipment used, drawing blood and running bloodwork, knowledge of x-rays and proper positioning, experience with proper animal handling and restraint, understanding the importance of client education, and being a positive and motivating team member.

Qualifications

• Experience as a veterinary technician or assistant.

• Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT, RVT, or LVT) preferred - or eligibility to obtain licensure based on state requirements.

• A degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures.

• Safely handle and restrain animals; administer medications and vaccines.

• Collect lab samples and maintain accurate patient records.

• Educate clients on pet care and ensure a clean, organized work environment.
