- Radiation Oncologist, Assistant or Associate Professor
Description
Candidates for the position of Radiation Oncologist must have an MD or equivalent. Applicants must have completed an accredited radiation oncology residency and be certified or eligible for certification by the American Board of Radiology in Radiation Oncology. The Department of Radiation Oncology provides clinical services at the Huntsman Cancer Hospital and at the Farmington and Sugarhouse Health Centers. The successful candidate will possess strong clinical and interpersonal skills and must have a specific interest in treating childhood cancers. Pediatric radiation oncology will be the primary focus for this position, but the candidate will also be expected to cover one or two other disease sites, depending upon departmental needs in the future. Job duties for a radiation oncologist with a faculty appointment will include patient care in close collaboration with corresponding oncology teams, participation in multidisciplinary tumor boards and clinics, and teaching of radiation oncology residents. This position may be offered as either a clinical track or tenure track role, depending on alignment between the candidate’s qualifications and the department’s strategic needs, as determined collaboratively by the candidate and the department Chair.
