The INSTITUTE FOR MULTICULTURAL COUNSELING AND EDUCATIONAL SERVICES (IMCES) is a non-profit community clinic established in 1989. IMCES has been operating based on mission and value-driven and outcome-based service delivery to the community since its inception. IMCES provides a spectrum of comprehensive mental health services to underserved/ under-resourced individuals with mental health challenges. Services are designed for children, youth, and adults.
Requirements
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a psychiatrist. The Psychiatrist will diagnose, treat, and manage patients with mental illness, including adults and adolescents, provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management, and provide culturally sensitive and competent mental health services. The Psychiatrist will work collaboratively with other mental health professionals in a multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications
- Medical Degree from an accredited institution
- Board certification in Psychiatry
- Experience in providing mental health services to adolescents and adults
- Experience in cultural psychiatry, including expertise in serving diverse client populations, is highly desirable
- Excellent diagnostic skills and ability to provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and treatment planning
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work in a team environment
- Comprehensive knowledge of psychiatric care practices, procedures, and regulations
- Residency training in psychiatry
