Position
The Department of Management in the Fogelman College of Business & Economics seeks an advanced Assistant or Associate Professor with a research specialization in Human Resource Management (HRM), effective fall semester 2026, pending available funding.
Responsibilities
Effectively teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, maintaining a stream of high-quality research, participating in activities of the department, and fulfilling professional and university service responsibilities.
The Department of Management is a research-oriented group with 15 full-time faculty positions. Academic specializations include: HR/OB, entrepreneurship, and strategic management. Requirements
Qualifications
Candidates should have a Ph.D. with a concentration in management or closely related discipline, a record of effective university teaching and commitment to teaching excellence, and evidence of a strong research program targeting leading management journals (e.g., Journal of Applied Psychology, Personnel Psychology, Journal of Management, Academy of Management Journal, and Journal of Business and Psychology). Specific research interests within HRM are open, but preference will be given to candidates with interests in data analytics, artificial intelligence, and strategic human resources. Candidates should have an interest in teaching undergraduate and doctoral courses as well as a commitment to departmental and college service. Demonstrated experience in obtaining external research funding is a plus but not necessary. Beginning rank is dependent on experience and credentials.

The College
The Fogelman College of Business and Economics has become a leading business school in the Southeast. Degree programs offered include the BBA, MBA, MA and MS, and PhD. The academic programs of the College are fully accredited by AACSB International. The College faculty of approximately 95 serves over 3,600 students, with approximately 2,300 undergraduates, 700 master’s students, and 60 doctoral students. The Human Resource Management major is one of the fastest growing programs in the university. The highly-qualified faculty are recognized for scholarship and publications in leading academic and professional journals.
