Description:
California Northstate University College of Dental Medicine (CNU CDM) is seeking highly motivated full-time and part-time Prosthodontics Faculty to join our vibrant dental education community. This position will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of dentistry by providing didactic and clinical training to predoctoral students enrolled in our Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) program. Job Description: Assistant or Associate Professor (determined by level of expertise and/or experience)
Job Classification: Prosthodontics Faculty, Exempt, Monday-Friday (part-time or full-time)
Job Location: Sacramento, CA / in-person
Compensation: Starting at $160,000 for full-time (determined by level of expertise and/or experience)
Supervisor: Associate Dean of Academic Affairs
Responsibilities:
Deliver didactic and lab instruction and facilitate small group learning
Provide clinical supervision and mentorship for predoctoral students in the DMD program
Contribute to ongoing development and enhancement of the DMD curriculum
Stay current with latest advancements in clinical practice and dental research
Engage in service to CNU CDM in the form of active committee membership, student advisement, community service, and initiatives that uphold the mission and advance the development of the College and University
Other responsibilities as assigned
Position Requirements:
DDS/DMD degree from a CODA accredited U.S. dental school or equivalent
Candidates with overseas licenses must also have completed DDS/DMD or specialty training in a CODA accredited U.S. dental school
Prosthodontics Residency Certificate of Completion from a CODA accredited institution
Board certification or eligibility for board certification
Active California Dental License or Eligibility for a California Dental License
Current BLS certification
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Demonstrated commitment to teaching and mentorship
Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success
Clinical experience in a broad scope of removable and fixed prosthodontic procedures and confidence in supervising predoctoral student treatment in the clinic
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior teaching experience (academic or non-academic settings)
Experience with small group teaching and learning
