Job Description
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Project Manager will manage and lead extensive capital projects in manufacturing, construction, and technology.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
- Provide a single point of accountability for managing multiple projects at one time from beginning to end.
- Evaluate operational requirements of assigned capital projects and develop a master plan of how to execute them successfully.
- Establish strong and effective communication ties between all internal and external team members starting from the design phase of a capital project to drive a clear and documented understanding of project specifications and deliverables.
- Create project budgets, scope of work (mechanical and electrical), drawings (schematics/layouts/etc.), schedules, and bid packages (RFQ) for procurement of capital equipment and/or services.
- Work collaboratively with the internal team members to write contracts and POs highlighting the PBV terms and conditions to vendors/contractors.
- Develop and execute a FAT protocol for new equipment purchasing.
- Supervise and coordinate capital project activities at the job site including construction, installation, equipment delivery, contractor safety orientation, and line start-up and commissioning (CQV).
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Monitor and report project progress to all project stakeholders.
- Manage and control possible risks and opportunities to complete assigned projects on time and on budget.
- Update and keep up with PBV engineering specifications, policies, procedures, and forms.
- Provide technical support to the plant initiatives to improve line efficiency, equipment reliability, or waste reduction as well as problem solving and troubleshooting.
- Provide engineering support for PBV IT, PBV Safety, and PBV Quality Control departments.
- Contribute to the PBV Sustainability efforts and integrate capital project improvements to meet sustainability metrics and goals
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or eight (8) years of relevant work experience.
- Five (5) years of extensive project engineering experience.
- Three (3) years of supervisory experience.
- Five (5) years of CPG experience.
- PMP certification preferred.
- Six Sigma certificate preferred.
- Ability to understand the basics of finance, product cost accounting, and statistical process control.
- Experience in the food and beverage industry with hands-on plant engineering experience.
- Self-motivated and results-orientated in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
- Strong team-building skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to negotiate with vendors and contractors.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel, MS Project, and CAD software.
- Willing to travel up to 60% per year, both nationally and internationally.
- A valid driver's license is required and must be able to meet PBV driving qualifications.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be able to speak, read, and write English proficiently.
