- Program Manager
Description
The Program Manager is responsible for developing program proposals and budgets, managing implementation and supervising projects through completion. The variety of programs administered by the program manager includes, but is not limited to, multiple youth programs, non-credit professional and continuing education courses, and program collaborations with campus and non-campus partners.
- Take a leadership role in planning and overseeing the delivery of non-credit continuing education programs courses in compliance with state law, federal law and University policies and procedures.
- Establish timelines and make recommendations for program and course implementation.
- Coordinate all course and program logistics to include use of facilities, procurement of instructional materials, inclusion of participant experiences, etc.
- Delegate tasks to support staff as appropriate.
- Coordinate with the media specialist on the design and distribution of program promotional materials.
- Coordinate with the registration coordinator on student registration processes.
- Disseminate, collect, and review student evaluations to determine participant concerns and improvement opportunities.
- Develop, project, monitor and review budgets for programs and courses. Evaluate the long-term financial viability of programs.
- Identify appropriate tuition/fees within university policies.
- Approve expenditures and prepare financial/expense reports for all courses and programs.
- Coordinate with the business operations manager to facilitate financial transfers to campus departments when applicable.
- Review and assess new program and course proposals. Develop MOUs as applicable.
- Recruit instructors for various programs. Coordinate with the business operations manager to complete instructor hiring processes.
- Manage the review of requests for approval of continuing education and OPI renewal units in accordance with ATO, Board of Regents, and Office of Public Instruction state policies as applicable.
- Develop policies related to programs and courses.
Starting at $24.388 per hour, commensurate with experience, education, and qualifications

This job does not always follow a standard work week schedule and may require work during evening, weekends or overnight trips. Requirements
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in education, Program Management or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Demonstrated experience in working with program development, management, marketing, implementation and delivery assessment.
- Proficiency in appropriate computer systems and information management software programs, including spreadsheets and word processing software, Microsoft Office software experience preferred.
- Strong data analysis, problem-solving, analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, make recommendations, and drive actions.
- Effective communication and customer service skills with proven ability to influence others and facilitate agreement among stakeholders with different interests.
- Demonstrated bookkeeping or budgeting background.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with program management, specifically in Higher Education.
- Experience in facilitating online program delivery.
- Knowledge of MSU procedures and policies or previous experience working in a higher education setting.
- Experience using an SIS system.
