Position Description:
The University of Louisville is seeking to hire a a Program Manager II for KY-MEP. KY-MEP works exclusively with Kentucky manufacturers across the Commonwealth educating, coaching, training, and mentoring in an array of consulting activities. Purpose of Position
Build 21st Century Delivery programming by analyzing market demand via voice of customer (VOC), develop and assist leading the delivery/integration team, strongly influence the Operations & Efficiency KPI's on the Dashboard, Delivery, Quality, and Client Transformation. Position has monthly delivery responsibilities (10 Days/Month) plus client and partner engagements as ROI appropriate. Role is remote office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Further development of O&E Platform and support KY-MEP team collaboration and cohesion. 'Team First' attitude.
- Work transparently within a Matrix structure as a servant leader. "The task is the boss."
- Monitor KPI's and manage by exception in support of our business strategies, programs, and client needs.
- Discover and sustain 3rd party delivery Quality and 21st Century methodologies.
- Reinforce client relations.
- Lead classroom instruction and Kaizen's at client sites.
- Create knowledge content and refresh existing training materials
- Perform regular logistical requirements (i.e. print materials, assemble classroom materials, prepare instructional components)
- Conduct administrative activities within Salesforce.
- Position requires in state and periodic out of state travel including overnight stays for meetings and engagements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct and/or indirect experience in production environment with proven ability to reduce costs, increase efficiency, and improve profitability.
- Experience working as a consultant with multiple clients and/or a track record of Coaching and Developing employees.
- Familiarity with integrating new technologies such as robotics, automation, 3D printing, AI, etc.
- Experience presenting workshops, conferences, and/or seminars.
- Proven expertise and success in evaluation of client needs, vendor relations, and strategic planning and execution.
- 10 years' experience developing and/or delivering operational improvement activities within a manufacturing environment.
- 5 years' experience successfully leading Continuous Improvement, LEAN, TPI, Lean foundational training/implementation, Vendor Relations, and strategic planning and execution.
- Demonstrated Leadership skills including superior organizational and project management skills to manage concurrent projects and initiatives from execution of a technical services agreement to the project close out.
- 5 years' experience working as a consultant with multiple clients OR a track record of Coaching and Developing employees.
Competencies
- Establish trust, manage expectations, and maintain long-term partnerships with clients.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other process optimization methodologies.
- Familiarity with ISO standards, Total Quality Management (TQM), and root cause analysis techniques.
- Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Netsuite), automation, IoT, and Industry 4.0 technologies.
- Project Management skills to Plan, Execute and Monitor client projects with clear milestones and deliverables.
This is a grant funded position with funding through 12/31/27 . Continued employment is contingent upon funding.
Target Compensation Maximum:
$100,553.00
Target Compensation Minimum:
$67,035.00
Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
