Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. (Other duties may be assigned.)
- Working with minimal supervision on a team to build specific composite parts per specifications.
- Assisting in the preparation of molds and forms.
- Marking and cutting tape, woven material, honeycomb, adhesive and similar materials following templates, guides or specific dimensions and sequences.
- Fitting and smoothing successive layers of materials as necessary to secure build-up free from wrinkles, air pockets and voids following directions and instructions.
- Ensuring that the final size, shape, and details of parts are correct and in accordance with standards.
- Noticing and commenting on the level of quality of products.
- Working towards continuous improvement and efficiency.
- Recognizing problems and helping in their resolutions.
- Completing required paperwork.

Required Education and/or Experience
- High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED), and 2 years' experience in assembly, maintenance, manufacturing production, or related skills.
Other Useful Skills and Abilities
- Previous composites lay-up experience, preferred.
- Basic computer skills.
- Experience in a fast-paced work environment.
- Ability to work under limited supervision.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Manual dexterity and motor coordination.
- Ability to work with small tools.
- Knowledge of workplace safety.
- Must be able to read and speak English to understand work instructions.
- Must be willing to acquire an understanding of the manufacturing process.
- Must be team-oriented and understand the customer-focused nature of the medical device industry.
