Are you a dedicated physician looking to make a meaningful impact on the health and well-being of university students? Cougar Health Services (CHS) at Washington State University is seeking skilled and compassionate physicians to join our team.
At CHS Medical Clinic, we provide a comprehensive range of medical services that are tailored to the unique needs of college students in a collaborative environment of dedicated healthcare providers and staff. Our services include the following:
General Health Care: Routine check-ups, physical exams, and management of chronic conditions like diabetes, hypertension, and asthma.
Mental Health Care: Evaluation and treatment including medication management for conditions like depression, anxiety, ADHD and stress.
Reproductive and Sexual Health: STI testing and treatment, sexual health education, and contraceptive services, reproductive counseling.
Infectious Diseases: evaluation, treatment, prevention of STIs, tuberculosis, pneumonia, pertussis, etc.
Acute Care Visits: Rashes, UTIs, URIs, musculoskeletal injury
Immunizations: Vaccinations for flu, HPV, meningitis, and other preventable diseases.
Sports Medicine: Injury evaluation, treatment including casting and splinting, and rehabilitation for students.
Treatment and Evaluation of Skin conditions including acne.
Minor Procedures: Skin biopsies, suturing, and removal of minor skin lesions
On-Site X-Ray Services: Immediate imaging and diagnosis.
Point of Care Lab: Rapid diagnostic testing at the bedside.

Monthly Salary:
$17,453 – $21,669 | Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO). Completion of an accredited residency program in area of practice. Must possess, or be able to obtain by time of hire, licensure as a doctor of medicine (MD) or doctor of osteopathy (DO) by the State of Washington.
M.D. / D.O. degree; board eligible or board certified in a primary care specialty.
DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) certification in the state of Washington by time of hire.
Maintains current DEA licensure in the state of Washington at all times.
Maintains current state of Washington Physician license at all times.
Maintains current board certification with the national board of specialty area.
Ability to be credentialed and maintain credentialed status with all contracted insurance providers.
Obtains and maintains CHS clinical privileges.
Strong written, verbal, and electronic communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Three (3) years of experience in a primary care setting.
Electronic Medical Record Training.
College health experience.

Background Check:
This position has been designated by the department to require a background check because it requires access to children or vulnerable adults as defined by RCW 74.34, engages in law enforcement, requires security clearance, interacts with WSU students in a counseling or advising capacity, has access to personal identifying and/or financial information, unsupervised access to university buildings/property, or other business-related need. A background check will not be completed until an initial determination of qualification for employment has been made.
