Growing together.The Electroneurodiagnostic Technician provides a comprehensive Neurology service to patients and performs electroencephalogram (EEG) testing; explains tests and procedures to patients in understandable terms. Positions in this function are responsible for overseeing and participating in day to day clinical care of patients. Employees are involved in direct patient care in a clinic setting. This position will work 2-4 Fridays per month to perform EEG's in Multi-Specialty Clinic for a Neurologist who specializes in seizures.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ensures direct, clear communication with Neurologists for reporting critically abnormal studies, requesting clinical assistance and relaying any patient care concerns
- Proactively manages EEG clinical schedule to ensure timely patient access and physician presence during testing procedures
- Ensures appropriate referrals and authorizations are obtained and eligibility is verified at least two (2) clinical days prior to testing
- Maintains EEG equipment, prepares patients for procedures and records patients' electric potentials
- Ensures compliance with all state and federal regulations and evidence-based practice guidelines and adheres to policies and procedures

Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED (will consider Medical Assistant degree with Neurology, Pain Management or Nerve testing experience)
- CPR/BLS or willing to obtain upon hire
- 1+ years of clinical experience in an acute care setting (preferably Neurology and Pain Management)
- 1+ years of experience in neurological anatomy and related neurological disease processes
Preferred Qualifications:
- Graduate of a recognized Electroneurodiagnostic (END) training, which has preferably been reviewed by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Electroneurodiagnostic Technology
- Experience with EEG equipment
- Experience with Epic
- Familiarity with Nihon Kohden EEG machine
- Demonstrated proficiency in EEG testing
- Proven excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $23.41 to $41.83 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
