As the first point of contact for visitors and callers, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and organized environment. Position Summary:
Responsible for greeting visitors, wayfinding, providing information and directions to offices and locations.
Position Key Accountabilities:
1. Provides assistance by greeting and assisting patients, their families, and visitors entering the facility with a positive and helpful attitude.
2. Responsible for answering questions, providing information and directing people to the area needed. Participates in creating an atmosphere that is supportive and efficient.
3. Uses job resources to provide assistance in wayfinding information for patients.
4. Assists the patients/visitors to the assigned patient care area, and transports patients into or out of wheelchairs as assigned.
5. Supports different departments in the facility as assigned.
6. Facilitates family visitation by communicating with nursing staff as needed.
7. Performs other duties as assigned.
Certification/Skills:
• Proficient in EHR Systems
• Navigating an ACD phone set up
• Communicates effectively with visitors/customers with excellent verbal skills
• Ability to analyze visitor needs and provide directions to specific locations
• Ability to multi-task
• Proficient typing/keyboarding skills.
• Bi-lingual preferred
Minimum Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum Experience:
None. May substitute required experience with equivalent years of education beyond the minimum education requirement.
Physical Requirements:
Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
Security Sensitive:
This position is a security-sensitive position pursuant to Texas Education Code §51.215 and Texas Government Code §411.094. To the extent that a position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Texas Business and Commerce Code §117.001(2), the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired for and to continue to be employed in that position.
