Description
INTERNATIONAL STUDIES (BL-ISM-IUBLA)Department Information
This position is for the Global Health Impact Project which is coming to Indiana University's (IU) Tobias Center for Innovation in International Development.
Job Summary
- Programs software applications and builds statistical models to automate data collection/analysis process for the Global Health Impact Index; may include programming websites of the Global Health Impact Project.
- Helps collect and analyze data and build statistical models for the Global Health Impact Index, as well as help lead a team of other CS students to complete work on our websites and projects.

- Currently enrolled as a student at Indiana University

- Ability to effectively communicate and exchange information with a wide variety of individuals
- Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism
- Demonstrates time management and priority setting skills
- High commitment to quality
- Ability to actively seek to acquire knowledge in area of specialty
- Highly thorough and dependable
- Proficiency in Pandas and Microsoft Excel
- Proficiency in front-end (Typescript or JavaScript, HTML/CSS, etc.) or Python
- Ability to work in a team
- Experience in R
Working Conditions / Demands
All positions with the GHI Project, this one included, require at least a 1 semester commitment of 10 hours per week. Each week you will be responsible several tasks assigned to you by your team leader, preparation of a weekly update of your progress, and mandatory attendance at a two-hour meeting.

A letter of recommendation may be asked upon interview.
Work Location
This is a fully remote position. However, this is subject to change in the future based on university policy and business needs.
Advertised Salary
$15 per hour for undergraduates, $17.50 per hour for graduate students
Work Hours
10 hours per week
