$71,169.28 Beginning Base Pay
Required qualifications:
Certified or licensed by National Registry or Texas Department of State Health Services
as a Paramedic
Possess & keep current certification as an Emergency Medical Technician–Paramedic
(EMT-P)
Must be able to obtain or have current CPR Certification
Must be able to provide emergency care at the Paramedic level under adverse
conditions
Must obtain system credentialing as required by the Medical Director
A minimum of a High School Diploma, or GED Equivalent.
Must be 18 years old or older (no age cut-off)
Possess a current, valid US driver’s license with good driving record
Able to verify eligibility to work in the United States
Special Qualifications:
Must pass drug testing & background investigation, non-disqualify criminal history
check
Live or relocate within a sixty (60) minute drive time from Port Arthur facility
Demonstrate excellent oral & written communication skills
Proficiency with MS Office programs for example Word, Excel, etc.
Must possess a TWIC card or be eligible to obtain a TWIC card. For information on

Ability to work a 24 / 48-hour shift, inside, outside, overtime, holidays and weekends

Company paid 15% Pension plus 2% 401k match starting after 1 year of service
Schedule - 24 hours on, 48 hours off
Vacation (156 hrs/yr), Holiday Pay (80 hrs/yr)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintains credentialing required by Medical Director
Functions independently, once credentialed by the Medical Director
Capability to assess emergency scenes
Manage medical and trauma patients, direct co-workers, first responders and
bystanders in a positive manner
Utilizes electronic communication including portable & mobile radios & electronic patient
care records
Operates EMS vehicles under normal & emergency situations
Operates standard equipment, such as stretchers, cots, patient care monitors, &
standard diagnostic equipment
Extricates persons from vehicles, bend, lift, & perform CPR for extended periods of time
Works with & under the direction of other agencies during regional emergency response
incidents
Records necessary & appropriate medical information related to any treatment or
response
Stocks & maintains unit inventory after every call
Maintains the condition of the fire station, vehicles & equipment
Supports emergency medical care & other programs by working with local agencies to
include attending meeting, conference workshops, training sessions & performing a variety
of public relations duties
Participate in shift training & drills
Readily complies with RTFC policies & procedures
Reports for duty on time & when assigned
Ability to follow instructions and take direction
