Location: El Cajon, CA (San Diego County)
Job Type: Part-Time 1 day per week: Thursday or Sunday (Sunday preferred) or casual fill-in a few times a month on either Thursday or Sunday
About the Optometrist Position: We are seeking motivated and talented Optometrists to join our fast-growing team. We are expanding to better serve our community and bring them the level of care they deserve. This position is part-time or casual fill-in opportunity with a average patient load of 8-16 per day. Exams are every 20 minutes with techs doing all pre-tests and CL training. Candidates with experience in dry eye and/or myopia management is a huge plus, but not required! New grads are welcome to apply.
About Us: Iris Bright Optometry is a patient-centered practice in El Cajon, CA, in San Diego County. Our practice is located inside a LensCrafters, and we are dedicated to preventive eye health and wellness. We take a proactive approach to patients' vision care and embrace the latest and most impactful technologies for our patients. We take most major medical and vision insurance and offer both medical and refractive exams to our patients.
Your Regular Duties Will Include:
Perform comprehensive eye exams.
Diagnose and treat ocular diseases, manage myopia, glaucoma, and more.
Prescribe corrective lenses and pharmaceutical agents.
Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing refractive eye surgeries.
Promote healthy vision by counseling and educating patients.
Maintain detailed patient records regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and progress using RevolutionEHR.
Handle eye care emergencies.
Optometrist Position & Requirements: You will be a welcoming addition to our team! You will use your clinical and interpersonal skills to provide high-quality vision care to our patients.
Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree.
Valid CA license to practice therapeutic optometry.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong sense of workplace professionalism and personal ethics.
Customer-service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills.
Experience in conducting comprehensive eye exams and diagnosing visual conditions.
Knowledge of common eye diseases and conditions.
Ability to prescribe and fit corrective lenses.
Ability to finalize most contact lenses prescriptions on the same day.
Comfortable prescribing pharmaceutical agents when appropriate to keep patient care in-house.
Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate medical records.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Excellent time management skills to work effectively during both busy and slow days.
Experience with RevolutionEHR is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive salary, commensurate with experience ($550-$650 per diem) with performance incentives, and co-management incentives.
