Title: Sheeting Operators, Processing Operators & Coating Operators
Pay: Based on experience + shift differential

Required Schedule (All Positions):
12 Hour Night Shift: 5pm- 5:30am
Schedule repeats every two weeks:
Week 1: On Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat, & Sun (Off Wed & Thurs)
Week 2: On Wed & Thurs (Off Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat, Sun)
Job Purpose (All Positions):
- Sheeting Operator : Responsible for operating automated sheeting equipment used to produce gum base.
- Processing Operator: Responsible for operating automated and/or manual manufacturing equipment used to produce sheeted gum and prescribe formulas with exactness.
- Coating Operator : Responsible for operating coating equipment and tracking inventory and waste for gum.

What are we looking for? (All positions)
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years of experience operating high speed machinery and/or equipment in a manufacturing, production or warehouse environment.
- Forklift operation
- Understanding of computer systems (Ex: MS Office, inventory systems, SAP, etc)
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent lifting/carrying pushing (10-50 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs)
- Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling, and gripping.
- Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, leaning over equipment and work in confined spaces.
- Ability to stand and/or work on feet for extended periods (minimum eight hours in one shift).
- Ability to understand, communicate, read, and write basic work-related English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical degree or certifications
- 3+ years' experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment
- Ability to keep accurate inventory records.
- Strong understanding of all GMP's, PPE's and quality checks
What will be your Key Responsibilities?
Sheeting Operator:
- Performs quality assurance checks, documentation, place trays on the line, change materials/product, machine change overs, troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns, clean machine jams and adjusts the machine to minimize downtime and promote productivity.
- Operate a forklift to move skids of gum from the up stacker to the cooling tunnels.
- Responsible for meeting production requirements daily.
- Cleaning, sweeping, inspection, lubrication and reporting abnormalities, etc.
- Responsible for the use of proper Lock Out/Tag Out procedures and meeting all safety guidelines.
- May be required to provide backup coverage for the Sr. Sheeting Operator when needed.
Processing Operator:
- Perform quality checks and general housekeeping duties including cleaning out blenders, extruders, hoppers, and conveyor belts as well as vacuuming excess ingredients around the processing equipment.
- Prepare ingredients for mixing gum and operate blenders and other processing machines.
- Maintain physical inventories of ingredients by completing SAP transaction.
- Move loaded or empty barrels of trim and ingredients and weigh and dump ingredients.
- Frequently stage bulk ingredients and ensure the proper functions of the delivery system.
- Complete transactions to transfer base and flavor ingredients to the proper storage location (SAP)
- Cross train in various positions in the processing department
Coating Operator:
- Operate automated and/or manual manufacturing equipment while maintaining general housekeeping.
- Accountable for meeting productivity, quality, and safety requirements
- Perform scheduled quality control tests to and keep accurate records of production and down times.
- Maintaining physical inventories of ingredients and create transfer orders and materials in JDA/SAP
- Ensures the inventory of pellet centers for coating process and recycling.
- Manages proper rotation of gum from conditioning areas. (1st in 1st out)
- Manually feeds gum into breakers to break into centers, removing bad ends, sorbitol spots, damaged pellets and ensuring all gum is removed from trays.
- Monitors levels of gum centers within hoppers for coating.
- Operate, sets up and /or changeover the equipment ensuring it is operating at proper speeds and gaps. (Running within centerlines).
- Cross-trained to perform support roles.

Training & Onboarding:
- 3-day initial orientation on start date (Day Shift)
- 6-week training program (Flexible between Day & Night Shift)
- To ensure the efficiency and safety of our associates and the product, all new hires will go through a stringent onboarding and training program. Therefore, new hires are not eligible to take any vacation during the 6-week training period.
