8VA seeks a highly organized and responsible Operations Assistant to join our team, effective immediately. This role is part-time and focuses on administrative tasks that support the company’s pitching and account teams. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and an excellent communicator who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Since 2012, we have provided public relations, digital and traditional marketing, and strategic consulting services to orchestras, music festivals, leading classical soloists, chamber ensembles, conductors, composers, and other related organizations. Requirements
You are a detail-oriented, self-driven individual who enjoys working with renowned classical musicians and industry professionals from around the world. While your daily work is remote, you thrive on collaboration and value connecting with colleagues through virtual meetings and emails. You are dependable, committed to agreed-upon working hours (while flexible when needed), and consistently strive to exceed client goals and expectations. You are highly organized, enjoy completing administrative tasks as efficiently as possible, and see yourself growing in this role over the long term.
Core Responsibilities
Correspond with clients frequently, with care, discretion, initiative, and attention to detail
Maintain and update the 8VA calendar and pitching process with client concerts
Maintain and update the 8VA website
Maintain and update client websites
Assist in maintaining efficient office workflows
Print, mail, and send confidential correspondence for client projects as needed
Conduct research and assist with special projects, reporting to the Managing Director
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s Degree required
Working knowledge of Canva, Google Drive, and Microsoft Office
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Self-directed, proactive, and dependable
Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines
Reliable, responsible, and collegial
Integrity, discretion, and respect for confidentiality
Strong sense of ownership of responsibilities
Passion for classical music
Familiarity with web design is a plus
Time Commitment & Compensation
10–20 hours per week, remote (work-from-home)
Flexible schedule; preference for New York–based candidates
Compensation: $25/hour
