Description
Position Summary
Coordinate with management and operations to develop and implement the daily train dumping, vessel loading and yard management plans and schedules to ensure the success of the Terminal's goals.
Target Responsibilities

Inbound:
- Update Automatic Unit Train (AUT's) information stored in the Terminal Information System (TIS)
- Time Arrival
- Dumping Commence Time/Completion
- Empty pull and release data
- Verify Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and inputs classification/pile destination to appropriate train
- Update and provide Kanawha Scale System (KSS) data for dumping operations
- Verify official inventory and Input C1 scale weights data (Terminal Inventory System and KSS)
- Provide Dump Train Report to appropriate customer and railroad
- Coordinate/execute the dumping plan provided by Traffic Department
- Provide coordination of coal sampling with subcontractor (SAI)
- Verify pile confirmation with operations supervisor
- Monitor and records Tons Per Hour (TPH) received while dumping train
- Synchronize Federal Railroad Administration Inspections with subcontractor before being released to railroad
- Coordinates with railroad track assignments and empty train pulls (CNX & NS)
Outbound:
- Communicate and coordinate berthing and completion times with vessel agents
- Ensure scales are calibrated prior to vessel arrival
- Receive and process official documents from the vessel captains
- Appropriately manages coal cargo pile destination and special handling of material transfer during loading activities
- Monitors and executes blend requirements to ensure cargo meets customer's specifications
Additional Duties:
- Record safety lockouts throughout the terminal according to the terminal lock out procedures
- Monitor weather conditions using radar and Thor Guard Lighting Detector; ensuring safe working conditions
- Troubleshoot maintenance/operational deficiencies using PLC logic system
- Maintain daily activity records/documents and submit reports as required
- Monitors terminal alarms and take appropriate corrective action
Required Skills and Experience
- High School diploma or GED
- Schedule is 4 days on and 4 off (12 hour shifts), includes overnights, weekends, and holidays
- Relevant experience with troubleshooting while effectively providing timely and accurate solutions
- Ability to multi-task and monitor several process areas simultaneously
- Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills
- Requires basic skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience performing the responsibilities of the Control Room, preferred
