Description
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced APRN/FNP-C/NP to be a part of an established rural health clinic recognized for its dedication to quality patient care and serving the community. We are looking for a NP with a passion for making a difference in the lives of patients across all life spans. You will primarily see patients in the clinic but could also provide nursing home and telehealth visits. Qualified candidates must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and the ability to work well within a team.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background and be committed to providing high-quality patient care across various settings. This role requires proficiency in a wide range of medical practices, including but not limited to acute care, geriatrics, and pediatrics. The candidate will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care to patients.
Duties
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and diagnostic evaluations.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and perform procedures such as suturing and catheterization.
Manage acute pain and provide hospice & palliative care as needed.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in various settings, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, and assisted living facilities.
Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Provide health coaching and education to patients regarding their treatment plans.
Participate in clinical research initiatives as applicable.
Skills
The successful candidate should possess a diverse skill set that includes but is not limited to:
Strong clinical, diagnostic, communication, interpersonal, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Experience with telehealth services and remote patient monitoring.
Knowledge of family medicine, internal medicine, behavioral health, and chronic disease management.
Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and physiology knowledge.
Strong communication skills for effective patient interaction and education.
Competence in managing patients with developmental disabilities or those requiring memory care.

2+ years’ experience in a clinic setting required
Experience in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine required
Current APRN/FNP-C/NP license
Licensed in Texas
DEA with prescriptive authority
ACLS/BLS certification
Full-time or Part-time shifts available
On call potential
