Description
Sugarland Animal Hospital is seeking a passionate and experienced Mixed Animal Veterinarian to join our dynamic team in Bundaberg, QLD. This role offers the perfect mix of small animal hospital medicine and large animal farm visits, giving you variety, purpose, and the chance to use the full range of your veterinary skills.
You’ll work with a collaborative team of 9 vets and 40+ support staff in our ASAV-accredited Hospital of Excellence, equipped with advanced technology including CT, ultrasound, endoscopy, and dedicated large animal facilities. No two days are the same—you might be managing a complex medical case in the hospital one day, then heading out for an equine dental , cattle herd health , or goat farm call the next.

Requirements
BVSc (or equivalent) and registration (or eligibility) with the Veterinary Surgeons Board of QLD
Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in mixed or large animal practice (motivated new grads also considered)
Competence in small animal medicine, diagnostics, and general surgery
Confidence in large animal handling, routine farm visits, and herd health
Interest in equine medicine, surgery, or dentistry (advantageous)
Strong communication skills with both clients and colleagues
Current driver’s licence (for farm visits and ambulatory work)
