Job Summary
Provides targeted, advanced-level, clinical psychotherapy services addressing a range of mental health concerns for a diverse population of students/clients utilizing specialized techniques to foster student development, remediate mental health problems, and promote positive mental health. Facilitates comprehensive assessments and treatments, referrals for hospitalizations, and case reviews.
Essential Functions
Provides targeted, advanced-level, clinical psychotherapy services primarily to student-athletes for a range of mental health concerns, including assessments; prevention and crisis services; individual, group, and relationship therapy; intake services; and diagnostic functions. Utilizes specialized techniques to foster student-athlete development, remediate mental health problems, promote positive mental health, develop individual treatment plans, and support academic and athletic success. Supports outreach programming and provides consultation to staff, faculty, parents, and students. Provides education to athletic teams, coaches, and staff throughout the year. Provides on-call emergency coverage as needed. Participates in and contributes to professional development activities; prepares reports and performs associated administrative duties.
