KIWI-TEK is a 100% Domestic Coding Company seeking experienced coders. Coders create their own schedules. Both hourly and per chart positions available.

Job Title: Remote Medical Coding Specialist

Current Openings:

Facility/Hospital Based

 -Facility Inpatient Coders

    o   IP coder with weekend hours (Epic System)

    o   One FT  (Epic System)

    o   One position FT or PT (Meditech System)

    o   One position PT, includes procedure CPT Coding

    o   PT or FT APR/DRG Coder (Epic System)

 -Facility Inpatient Behavioral Health Coder (Epic System)

 -Facility Same Day Surgery (SDS)/Observation Coders

    o   One PT or FT  (Meditech System)

    o   One PT or FT (Epic) 

 -Facility Inpatient Auditor – ReviewMate experience preferred

 -Facility SDS/OBS Auditor – ReviewMate experience preferred

 -Facility Inpatient CDI (Epic System) 

Physician Based/Profee

 -Profee IVR Coder – Surgical – 10 hrs. per week

 -Profee Surgical Coders

Description: Assure compliance with ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT guidelines as well as facility specific requirements.

Medicaid (CMS) and the Correct Coding Initiative Guidelines (CCI). We also follow Official Coding Guidelines as mandated by HIPAA and Coding Clinic Guidance. Coding Specialists must maintain 95% or better coding accuracy rates. Each coder must maintain his/her certification through the AAPC or AHIMA.

Qualifications: Qualified applicants should have a minimum of two years coding experience for a hospital facility and a certification from AHIMA or AAPC. All KIWI-TEK coders are required to pass rigorous proficiency exams in each selected specialty prior to being engaged.

Certifications accepted:

Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)
Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT)
Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA)
Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC)
Certified Outpatient Coder (COC or CPC)
Preemployment Coding Assessment required.
