Who We Need
We are seeking a results-driven IT Manager to lead a dynamic technical team supporting a Microsoft cloud-centric infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing Microsoft 365 and Azure environments, demonstrated leadership capabilities, and a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles. This role is primarily remote but requires residency in the Dayton, Ohio area for occasional on-site support and team engagement.
What You'll Do

Lead the daily operations of IT systems, services, and staff, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft 365 and Azure administration.
Oversee identity and access management, cloud resource optimization, endpoint management (Intune), and security configurations across the Microsoft ecosystem.
Supervise a team of IT professionals, providing mentorship, performance management, and professional development.
Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices aligned with industry standards and compliance requirements (CMMC, NIST 800-171).
Plan and execute projects including cloud migrations, system upgrades, security improvements, and user onboarding/offboarding.
Manage vendor relationships and procurement of IT software and hardware assets.
Serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues and provide hands-on support when necessary.
Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to assess needs and deliver efficient, secure, and scalable technology solutions.
Act as the 3rd level of support for internal IT.
Establish and provide metrics and reports to upper management.
Requirements
Qualifications Required:
Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure administration (including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Intune, Entra ID, Defender, and Teams).
35 years of IT team management or leadership experience.
Strong understanding of networking, identity management, endpoint security, and cloud-based infrastructure.
Proven ability to manage IT projects from conception to completion.
Residency in the Dayton, Ohio area (remote work with occasional in-person support required).
IAT Level 2 or above certification (Security+ CE, CISSP, etc.).
Preferred
Experience with compliance frameworks such as NIST 800-171 and CMMC.
Microsoft certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert).
Familiarity with PowerShell scripting, automation tools, and monitoring platforms.
Familiarity with SharePoint administration.
Knowledge of Power Platform and/or Power BI.
Familiarity with Microsoft Exchange and Teams.
Ability to apply strategic and innovative thinking to develop effective solutions; navigates ambiguity with flexibility.
Strong relationship builder and proactive team player.
Demonstrated ability to influence and build relationships with leaders across all levels.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
Experience with M&A.
